The
countdown has started O’Connell Street’s new resident moves
in on Sunday!
eBody
will live online in Clerys window
for six
nights and five days
The
countdown for eBody aka Padraidh Hearns has started, there are
only two days to go before he moves into Clerys window for the
week. Padraidh will start his week long technology awareness
adventure in the window of Clerys this Sunday 25 April 2004 at
12pm. Padraidh’s best and only friends for the week will be
the technology at his finger-tips and it will be a case of
‘click to survive’!
Padraidh
will only have a broadband connection and a mobile phone to fend
for himself while
he will order his food online, surfing the net and communicating
with the general public.
To
catch a glimpse inside the fully furnished Clerys mini-apartment
window before the doors shut on Padraidh you are invited to see
him into the appartmenta nd to shut the door on the outside
world Sunday at 12pm.
The project is
part of eWeek, a Dublin Chamber initiative, which will see
10,000 people from all walks of life attending more than 50
scheduled events, which will take place in the Dublin’s
Mansion House, Digital Hub, Civic
Offices, and a range of other regional locations. The
project is supported by the Government, eircom, Esat BT, O2,
and Oracle.
Highlights of
the week will include a series of launches from Government
agencies and the corporate sector along with conferences,
exhibitions, digital and future workshops, schools visits, and
round table forums. Full
